LOGAN, Utah – Utah State Athletics' commitment to success in the classroom continued through the spring 2026 semester, highlighted by a department-best 3.55 cumulative grade point average (GPA), bettering the 3.52 cumulative GPA set last fall. USU's 328 student-athletes also posted a 3.52 term GPA for the spring.

The milestone marked the 48th consecutive term in which Utah State student-athletes achieved a cumulative GPA of 3.0 or higher, a streak that dates to the fall of 2002. The spring 2026 semester also represented the fourth straight term in which all 16 varsity programs posted both term and cumulative GPAs above 3.0.

"I'm extremely proud of our student-athletes for their success in the classroom, which further highlights what an outstanding season this has been with nine combined regular-season and tournament championships," said Utah State Vice President and Director of Athletics Cameron Walker. "USU student-athletes continue to set the standard for excellence through their performances in competition, in the classroom and in the community."

During the semester, 85 percent of USU student-athletes earned a term GPA of 3.0 or higher, while 90 Aggies were named to the Utah State University Dean's List – a 26-person increase from the previous semester.

Women's programs led the way with a 3.64 term GPA, while men's teams posted a 3.40. Cumulatively, women finished with a 3.66 GPA and men with a 3.42, which is a department record bettering the 3.35 cumulative GPA set last fall.
