LAS VEGAS -- The USU women's tennis team is wrapping up its fall season in the consolation round of the Intercollegiate Tennis Association (ITA) Regionals Competition.
Senior Monica Abella and freshman McKenzie Daviscarried the team the furthest in the regular doubles bracket, advancing to the Round of 16 before falling to the Boise State duo of Sandy Vo and Marlena Pietzuch, (8-3).
In the first round of the consolation singles bracket, junior Mersadi Wilkins fell to New Mexico State's Ginet Pinero (6-0, 6-0). Freshman Kimberly Wattswas defeated by Kaley Schultz from Colorado State (6-4, 6-0). Senior Brianna Rowland lost to Laura Richardson from the University of New Mexico (6-3, 6-2).
The ITA Tournament concludes the women's fall season. Tennis action will resume spring 2012
