LOGAN, Utah – Utah State's men's and women's cross country programs were honored by the U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA) for their performance both on the course and in the classroom during the 2022 season.

Overall, there were 249 women's teams and 216 men's teams that earned all-academic distinction from the USTFCCCA for their efforts both academically and athletically. Both the USU men's team (3.61) and the women's team (3.82) were recognized for notching a cumulative GPA of at least 3.00 or higher.

Individually, Utah State sophomore Ana Weaver earned USTFCCCA All-Academic accolades for maintaining a cumulative GPA of at least 3.25 and finishing in the top 25 (or 10 percent) at the NCAA Regional Championships. 

Stanford's Charles Hicks was named the Men's Scholar Athlete of the Year while Katelyn Tuohy of North Carolina State was named the Women's Scholar Athlete of the Year.  

Overall, there were 171 women and 124 men who garnered USTFCCCA All-Academic individual accolades. 

NC State was named the Women's Scholar Team of the Year for the second year in a row. The Wolfpack maintained a cumulative GPA of 3.68 won the team title at the 2022 NCAA Division I Cross Country Championships in Stillwater, Oklahoma.

Northern Arizona was named the Men's Scholar Team of the Year for the fifth time in the school's history. The Lumberjacks posted a team GPA of 3.3 and won the team title at the 2022 NCAA Division I Cross Country Championships.
