SOMIS, Calif. – Utah State's golf team finished in seventh place at the CSUN-hosted Bill Cullum Invitational, which concluded Tuesday at The Saticoy Club.
 
The Aggies posted a 54-hole team score of 34-over 898 (298-303-297) against the 14-team field. Cal State Fullerton won the tournament at 6-over 870. The Titans began the day 10 strokes back of CSUN, which placed third.

Cal State Fullerton's Patrick Ordonez defeated Cal State San Bernardino's John Kim on the first playoff hole to take home individual medalist honors. Ordonez, playing as an individual, and Kim were tied at 3-under 213 following the third round.

Making his collegiate debut, Enrique Karg led the Aggies as the freshman tied for 17th at 6-over 222. He led Utah State with 12 birdies, which tied for sixth in the field of 84.

Esteban Jaramillo was the lone Aggie to shoot even par or better on Tuesday as the junior carded a 2-under 70. He ended the tournament tied for 22nd at 7-over 223. Jaramillo led USU with 39 pars – tied for second in the field – and shared the team lead with one eagle, along with senior John Cook.

Cook ended the tournament tied for 61st at 17-over 233. Junior Julio Arronte Sanchez tied for 32nd at 9-over 225 and freshman Ashton McArthur tied for 50th at 14-over 230.

Utah State began the day in 11th place.

NEXT UP: The Aggies conclude the fall portion of their schedule when they travel to San Pedro Garza Garcia, Mexico, for the Monterrey International Invitational on Friday and Saturday, Oct. 27-28, at Club Campestre Monterrey. George Washington is the host school.
