Cross Country (2018): Placed 44th with a time of 26:14.3 at the Mountain West Championships… Competed in four meets during the season with his best finish coming at the BYU-hosted Autumn Classic, where he placed 27th with a time of 21:56.8… Finished 36th with a time of 25:52.4 in the unseeded race at Pre-Nationals and placed 37th with a time of 25:09 at the Lehigh-hosted Paul Short Run… Earned MW Scholar-Athlete honors.
Indoor: Ran career-best times of 4:24.59 in the mile at the Boise State-hosted Jacksons/Nike Boise Indoor Invitational and 8:32.52 in the 3,000 meters at the Boise State-hosted Bronco Challenge.
Outdoor: Placed fourth in the 5,000 meters with a career-best time of 15:01.85 at the UC Irvine-hosted Collegiate Classic… Finished sixth in the 3,000 meters with a personal-best time of 9:06.97 at the Utah Valley Invitational… Earned academic all-Mountain West, MW Scholar-Athlete and USU Joe E. and Elma Whitesides Scholar-Athlete accolades.

PREVIOUS SCHOOL: Was a member of BYU's cross country and track & field teams for one season.

HIGH SCHOOL: Named all-district, all-region and all-state during his senior season at Davis High School in Kaysville, Utah… Participated in the winning 4x800-meter relay team at the 2015 New Balance Nationals... Finished second in the 4x1,600-meter relay team at the New Balance Nationals... Also participated in soccer and wrestling at Davis HS... Graduated with a 3.85 GPA.

PERSONAL: Son of Lynn and Natalie Ward… Has one brother and two sisters… Sister, Tavia, was a member of Utah Valley's track & field team... Brother, Jared, was a member of BYU's track & field team... Served an 18-month LDS Church Mission in Jacksonville, Fla... Majoring in accounting.
