Colton Tegtmeier

Colt Tegtmeier is in his second season as an assistant coach for Utah State women's tennis. 

In 2023-24, Tegtmeier helped USU to an upset win in the first round of the Mountain West Tournament, defeating Fresno State 4-2 to advance to the quarterfinals. Tegtmeier also helped the doubles duo of graduate senior Zeynep Naz Ozturk and senior Laura Fernanda Eugenio De Hilario to earn All-Tournament doubles team honors.

Colt joined the Aggies after spending the 2022-23 season as a volunteer assistant coach at Iowa State. Tegtmeier helped the Cyclones to a 21-6 overall record and a spot in the quarterfinals of the NCAA tournament. ISU finished the season as the eighth-ranked team in the ITA national rankings and had four players named to the all-Big 12 singles and doubles teams.
 
Tegtmeier played his collegiate career at Brandeis University where he was a four-year starter and helped lead the team to the NCAA Tournament in 2021, its first appearance since 1989. The Judges advanced to the Elite Eight with Tegtmeier serving as team captain.
 
A native of Madison, Wisconsin, Tegtmeier held the No. 1 singles spot all four years of his high school career at James Madison Memorial High School and was a state champion as a senior.
 
Tegtmeier earned a bachelor's degree with majors in chemistry and philosophy from Brandeis and received a master's degree in higher education administration from Iowa State in 2024.
