STOCKTON, Calif. - Ali Aird recorded Utah State's first double-double of the season with 15 points and 10 rebounds as the Aggies fell at Pacific, 67-58. The Tigers improved to 6-8 overall and 5-0 in league play, while USU fell to 1-11 and 1-3.

"We played pretty well tonight," said head coach Reagan Pebley. "I think we took a few steps forward, but we also saw some things we still need to improve on. I think when (Pacific) comes to Logan it should be a good game."

Aird almost had a double-double by half-time as she recorded nine points and eight rebounds in the opening stanza. Aird shot 5-8 from the field and 5-6 from the free-throw line for her 10th game in double-figures this year. Brittany Hagen also notched 15 points, for a new career high. Christina Zdenek also scored in double-figures with 12.

Once again the Aggies came out and stayed close with their opponent for the majority of the first half. USU led Pacific 22-20 with 6:17 left in the half before the Tigers went on a 10-0 run to pull ahead by eight at the 1:47 mark. The Aggies would then score five straight, including a three-pointer by Ashley Anderson to pull within three, heading into the lockerroom.

In the second-half the Aggies wouldn't get any closer than five as Pacific led by as many as 14 in the win.

Pacific also had a trio of players score in double-figures, led by Nancy Dinges' 16 points. Corinne Wong poured in 14, while Jessie Menkens scored 11 for the Tigers.

The Aggies finished the game with 14 assists, while Pacific had 12, which marks the first time this season USU has dished-out more assists than its opponent.

Utah State will continue league play as it travels to Cal State Northridge on Saturday. Tip-off is slated for 8 p.m. (MST)
