LOGAN, Utah -
Utah State University Director of Athletics Scott Barnes and Aggie Sports Properties, a property of Learfield Sports and the multimedia rights holder for USU Athletics, announced Wednesday the addition of six radio stations to the Aggie Sports Network to bolster its programming reach throughout the state.
KVNU 610 AM in Cache Valley will continue to serve as the flagship station for Aggie football and men's basketball, while affiliates in Salt Lake City, St. George, Vernal, Price and Moab have all added stations to the Aggie Sports Network.
"The Wasatch Front market, with thousands of Utah State fans and alumni, is very important to us," said Barnes. "It is a great feeling to know that our radio rights are in such good hands and that all of the Aggie faithful in and around Salt Lake City have such great access to our programs in addition to enhanced coverage."
Beginning this fall, KZNS 1280 AM and 97.5 FM (Salt Lake City), KZNU 1450 AM (St. George) and KVEL 920 AM (Vernal) will all carry the one-hour pregame and postgame shows for every Aggie football and men's basketball game in addition to the 50-minute weekly coaches shows for both sports. KRPX 95.3 FM (Price) will carry every Aggie football game and all 14 men's basketball conference games, in addition to the one-hour pregame and postgame shows for both sports, and KCPX 1490 AM (Moab) will carry all 12 of Utah State's football games this year, which will also include the pregame and postgame shows.
All Aggie women's basketball games will continue to be broadcast live on KLGN 1390 AM in Cache Valley.
