LOGAN, Utah - In preparation for the 2015 season, Utah State gymnastics will be hosting a Halloween intrasquad meet on Friday Oct. 31, from 6-7:30 pm in the HPER practice facility.

Coming off a strong 2014 season, second-year head coach Nadalie Walsh and the Aggies look to jump right back in to where they left off.

"It's hard to believe the end of October is already here. We have already had two fairly successful intrasquad meets but this will be the first time putting all four events together," Walsh said. "The team has high standards and expectations for themselves so this practice meet will surely help prepare them for all that is ahead of them this season."

The Aggies will be split in to two teams and will get a chance to show off some of their creativity and personalities by dressing up in costumes.

"On top of it all, I am really looking forward to seeing what team costumes my team will conjure up. These girls have incredible personalities and when they are having fun, they are unstoppable."

Utah State ended the 2014 season with its first NCAA Regionals appearance since 2007. At the Fayetteville, Ark., site, the fifth-seeded Aggies finished sixth with a score of 191.875. The Aggies return three all-conference honorees in senior Sarah Landes, junior Michelle Yasukochi and sophomore Bailey McIntire.

The Aggies will host their annual Meet the Aggies event on Nov. 8 in the Wayne Estes Center before opening its 2015 campaign in its Blue and White intrasquad meet on Wednesday, Dec. 3. Official competition season begins Jan. 9 at home when the Aggies take on Air Force.
