LOGAN, Utah – Three members of Utah State's gymnastics team qualified for the NCAA Regional Championships to be held in Corvallis, Ore., on Friday, April 5.
 
Senior Madison Ward-Sessions qualified in the all-around, junior MaKayla Bullitt qualified on bars, and sophomore Autumn DeHarde qualified on both beam and floor.
 
Ward-Sessions won the individual floor title (9.925) and placed fifth in the all-around (38.800) last weekend at the Mountain Rim Gymnastics Conference Championships at the Marriott Center in Provo, Utah. She was the lone gymnast to record a 9.900 or better on floor and her 9.925 on the event was her 21st career floor title to extend the school record she set against No. 2 UCLA.
 
The native of Rexburg, Idaho, has 38 career titles overall, which is tied for fifth all-time in program history, along with Julie Ryan (1986-88, 1991). Furthermore, she has a team-leading 16 titles this season, which ranks fourth all-time in senior class history, and her seven floor titles on the year are tied for fourth all-time in a single season.
 
Ward-Sessions, who was tabbed the MRGC co-Floor Specialist of the year and garnered all-league first-team honors on floor and second-team citations on vault and in the all-around, ranks 40th nationally, 11th in the North Central Region and fourth in the MRGC with a Regional Qualifying Score (RQS) of 39.250 in the all-around. She is tied for 16th nationally, ranks third regionally and first in the conference with a floor RQS of 9.925.
 
The 5-foot Ward-Sessions had arguably the best meet of her collegiate career in leading Utah State (season-high 196.075) to a quad-meet sweep over host West Virginia (195.075), Pitt (195.100) and Cornell (193.075) on Feb. 17, at the WVU Coliseum in Morgantown, W.Va. She won the all-around title with a career-high 39.525 – the highest score by any Aggie in 16 years – which is tied for second all-time in school history.
 
Additionally, Ward-Sessions' season floor average of 9.905 currently ranks first all-time in school history and her bars average of 9.798 is tied for fourth.
 
Ward-Sessions, who is making her fourth appearance at regionals, also captured the beam title with a career-high 9.900 at the WVU quad meet, tied for second on vault (career-high-tying 9.850), tied for second on bars (9.850) and tied for second on floor (9.925).
Ward-Sessions owns two of the top floor scores in school history at an NCAA Regional Championships meet with a 9.925 (Minneapolis, 2018) and 9.825 (Seattle, 2017), which rank first and tied for sixth all-time on the event at a regional meet. She also has one of the best vault scores in school history at a regional meet with a 9.800 (Minneapolis, 4/7/18), which is tied for eighth all-time.
 
DeHarde, who was the 2018 MRGC Freshman of the Year, earned second-team all-conference accolades on floor this season. She is tied for 86th nationally, tied for 17th regionally and tied for fourth in the league with a 9.870 RQS on the event.
 
The 4-11 DeHarde, who also qualified for regionals a year ago, is tied for 79th nationally, tied for 17th regionally and tied for eighth in the MRGC with a 9.855 RQS on beam. She ranks second on the team with four titles, including three on beam and one on floor.
 
DeHarde's 9.825 average on beam currently ranks second all-time in school history, while her average of 9.841 on floor is eighth.
 
Bullitt is tied for third on the team with a pair of event titles, both on bars, where she is tied for 93rd nationally, tied for 19th regionally and ranks seventh in the conference with a 9.845 RQS. This is her second-ever appearance at regionals as she owns one of the top vault scores in school history at the NCAA Regional Championships with a 9.800 (Seattle, 2017).
