LOGAN, Utah – Utah State's Marshall Rasmussen has been named the Mountain West Indoor Track & Field Men's Freshman of the Week, it was announced Tuesday by the conference office.

It is Rasmussen's first time being honored by the conference.

The freshman from Meridian, Idaho, placed second in the pole vault at the Mark Colligan Memorial Invitational hosted by the University of Nebraska on Saturday. Rasmussen cleared a height of 4.67 meters (15-3.75), setting a new personal best in the event. The mark is the seventh highest posted by a MW athlete this season in the pole vault.
