LOGAN, Utah – Utah State volleyball's Tatum Stall has been named the America First Credit Union USU Student-Athlete of the Week for the period ending on Sunday, Oct. 15. The award is voted on by a state-wide media panel.
 
With their sponsorship of the Student-Athlete of the Week, America First Credit Union donates funds directly to support student-athlete scholarships.
 
The native of Chandler, Arizona, led the Aggies to a pair of Mountain West victories last week with a 3-1 win at Boise State and 3-0 win at San José State.
 
Against the Broncos, Stall had a team-high-tying 17 kills, along with six digs, four blocks, three service aces and an assist. She also hit .441 in the win.
 
Against the Spartans, the senior outside hitter led the Aggies with 11 kills, while adding seven digs, one ace and an assist. Stall also eclipsed 1,000 career kills in the win against SJSU.
 
For the week, Stall had 28 kills, averaging 4.00 per set, while hitting .373. She also logged 13 digs, four blocks, four service aces and two assists.
 
Utah State wraps up a three-match road trip at UNLV (12-8, 4-4 MW) on Thursday, Oct. 19, at 7:30 p.m. (MT).

MEN'S CROSS COUNTRY – Graduate senior Camren Todd (Kaysville, Utah) was the first Aggie to cross the finish line as he placed 56th overall with an 8K time of 24:09.7 to lead Utah State at the Wisconsin-hosted Nuttycombe Invitational last weekend. The Aggies placed 33rd as a team with 710 points.
 
WOMEN'S CROSS COUNTRY – Junior Emma Thornley (Layton, Utah) led Utah State at last week's Wisconsin-hosted Nuttycombe Invitational, as she placed 127th with a 6K time of 21:21.4. The Aggies placed 32nd as a team with 833 points.
 
GOLF – Freshman Enrique Karg (Guadalajara, Mexico) was the top Aggie placer at the CSUN-hosted Bill Cullum Invitational as he tied for 17th at 6-over 222. Utah State placed seventh against the 14-team field. Karg led USU with 12 birdies, which tied for sixth in the field of 84.
 
FOOTBALL – Graduate senior inside linebacker MJ Tafisi Jr. (West Jordan, Utah) had a career-high 17 tackles, to go along with one pass breakup and one quarterback hurry, in Utah State's 37-32 Mountain West home loss to Fresno State. It was Tafisi's third-straight double-digit tackle game, the fourth of the season and the ninth of his career.
 
SOCCER – Freshman forward Solena Sellers (Highland, Utah) helped lead Utah State to a pair of shutout victories at home last week against Fresno State (2-0) and San José State (3-0). Against the Spartans, the true freshman entered the game as a reserve in the 29th minute and quickly picked up a brace as she scored goals in the 35th and 41st minutes to give the Aggies a spark and put the team ahead 2-0. These were the first and second goals of Sellers' career. Additionally, she recorded a team-high six shots on the week, while playing just 72 combined minutes in the two contests.
