LOGAN, Utah – Utah State men's tennis' Bodin Zarkovic and David Cierny have been named all-Mountain West in both singles and doubles, it was announced by the league on Tuesday.
It is both Cierny's and Zarkovic's second time earning all-conference honors in their careers. The duo compiled a 7-7 record as a doubles team this season, including a 1-1 mark in MW play while seeing action exclusively at the No. 1 position. Zarkovic earned an 8-7 doubles record as Cierny did not play against Eastern Washington earlier in the season.
In singles play, the tandem anchored the top of USU's lineup at the first and second positions throughout the season. Cierny posted an 11-9 record in singles play this season, including a 3-2 mark at the No. 1-spot in MW action. Cierny also registered a straight-sets victory over Utah's No. 37-ranked Geronimo Busleiman.
Zarkovic put together a 16-5 record in singles matches, including an undefeated 6-0 mark in MW action while playing at the No. 2 spot.
