LOGAN, Utah — Utah State's track & field teams are set to participate in the Utah Spring Classic this weekend on Friday and Saturday, April 7-8. The competition is hosted in tandem by Utah and Weber State.
The meet will begin on Friday at both campuses. Weber State will host the hammer, discus, shot put and javelin competitions. Competition at the McCarthey Family Track & Field in Salt Lake City will begin on Friday at 5:30 p.m. with the men's and women's long jump alongside the men's and women's 3,000-meter steeplechase and 5,000 meters. All competition on Saturday will be hosted by Utah with the meet's conclusion set for 3:35 p.m. with the men's and women's 4x400-meter relays. A

Live results will be available throughout the competition via Utah athletics. Saturday's competition will also be available for streaming through
the Pac-12 Network.
The Aggies enjoyed a record-breaking venture this past weekend at the Stanford Invitational, the Mike Fanelli Track Classic and the West Coast Relays. All told, the Aggies won two events alongside 15 top-five finishes at the three competitions. 11 individual Aggies also recorded times or marks ranking in the top-10 all-time at USU in their respective events during the weekend.
The effort was highlighted by graduate senior
Mica Rivera and sophomore
Ana Weaver shattering the school record in the outdoor 10,000 meters by over 50 seconds. Rivera now holds the all-time Aggie record with a time of 32:57.50, while Weaver sits in second all-time at 32:59.04.
