LOGAN, Utah - Utah State head softball coach Todd Judge announced the signing of Katie Zuniga on Wednesday.

"We as a staff are extremely excited to get a graduate transfer that has pitched very effectively for the last four years," Judge said. "Katie will bring a tremendous amount of experience to a young bullpen. Her ability to change speeds from the left side will make her a big asset to an already great returning staff."

Zuniga, a 5-foot-8 pitcher, joins the Aggies after spending four seasons at Utah Valley. She appeared in 103 career games, making 56 starts. In her career, Zuniga threw 375.1 innings, recording 20 complete games, one shutout and one save, and logged an individual record of 24-35. She struck out 162 batters and has a career ERA of 4.79.

As a senior in 2023, Zuniga led the UVU pitching staff in ERA (4.12), WHIP (1.50), wins (7), complete games (9), innings pitched (137.2) and strikeouts (60). She finished her Wolverine career with the best walks per seven innings ratio (1.36) in program history, sixth-most innings pitched (375.1), eighth-most strikeouts (161) and seventh-most complete games (20).

Zuniga prepped at Quartz Hill High School in Lancaster, California, where she was a two-time MVP and a CIF qualifier.
