LOGAN, Utah — Utah State track & field had 10 student-athletes named to the College Sports Communicators (CSC) Academic All-District Team, it was announced by the organization on Tuesday.

Abbey Bryant,
Caden Dupee,
Maddie Edwards,
Mattie Geddes and
Brandon Ovington, junior
Emma Thornley and sophomore
Logan Garnica.
Altice, who is working on a master's in electrical engineering, maintained a 3.83 graduate GPA. This season, Altice earned a ninth-place finish in the 3,000 meters with a time of 8:18.28 and took 10th place in the 5,000 meters with a time of 14:36.38 at the Mountain West Indoor Championships. Altice also took 14th in the 5,000 meters with a time of 14:29.06 and 15th in the 1,500 meters with a PR time of 3:52.58 at the MW Outdoor Championships. Altice logged the sixth-best outdoor 5,000-meter performance in program history with a time of 13:56.16 as he took third in his heat at the Azusa Pacific-hosted Bryan Clay Invitational.
Paepke-Chile, with a master's in sports management, kept a 3.79 graduate GPA. This season, Paepke-Chile placed 17th in the javelin with a PR mark of 49.01 meters (160-9) at the NCAA West First Rounds. That mark ranks third all-time in school history.
Todd, who finished up a master's in civil and environmental engineering, posted a 3.87 graduate GPA. At the NCAA West First Rounds, Todd placed 27th in the 10,000 meters with a time of 29:43.02. Todd also set a PR in the 10,000 meters, which ranks third in school history, as he took eighth with a time of 28:43.08 at the Stanford Invitational. During the indoor season, he finished fourth in the 3,000 meters with a PR time of 8:16.87 at the MW Indoor Championships.
Bryant, with a major in French, logged a 3.79 GPA. Bryant set the second-best finishes in school history in both the 60-meter hurdles with a time of 8.39 and the 100-meter hurdles with a time of 13.36 this academic year. Bryant took 25th in the 100-meter hurdles matching her PR with a time of 13.36 at the NCAA West First Rounds. In the indoor season, she placed fifth in the 60-meter hurdles with a time of 8.47 seconds at the MW Indoor Championships.
Dupee, with a major in biochemistry, maintained a 3.81 GPA. In the outdoor season, Dupee placed fifth in the decathlon with 6,350 points and ninth in the javelin with a mark of 51.62 meters (169-4) at the MW Outdoor Championships. At the MW Indoor Championships, he finished seventh in the heptathlon with 4,821 points and 12th in the pole vault with a clearance of 4.36 meters (14-3.5).
Edwards, with a major in data analytics, kept a 3.98 GPA. Edwards set the school record in the 400-meter hurdles with a time of 57.22 as she won gold at the MW Outdoor Championships. She also ranks second on the USU all-time leaderboard in the outdoor 4x400-meter relay with a time of 3:39.88, fifth in the indoor 4x400-meter relay with a time of 3:43.27 and seventh in the 60-meter hurdles with a time of 8.61. Edwards advanced to the quarterfinals of the 400-meter hurdles, where she finished 17th with a time of 58.25 at the NCAA West First Rounds.
Geddes, with a major in interior architecture and design, posted a 3.96 GPA. Geddes set the school record in the 800 meters with a time of 2:06.45 as she finished fourth at the MW Outdoor Championships. She also ranks second in the indoor 800 meters with a time of 2:09.34, fourth in the indoor mile with a time of 4:46.82 and fourth in the DMR with a time of 11:46.95 on the USU all-time leaderboard with results posted during the indoor season. At the NCAA West First Rounds, Geddes placed 34th in the 800 meters with a time of 2:09.02.
Ovington, with a major in psychology, posted a 3.68 GPA. In the outdoor season, Ovington placed sixth in the shot put with a PR mark of 17.12 meters (56-2) at the MW Outdoor Championships. At the MW Indoor Championships, Ovington took seventh in the shot put with a PR mark of 16.08 meters (52.9.25).
Thornley, with a major in kinesiology, logged a perfect 4.0 GPA. During the outdoor season, Thornley placed 27th in the 10,000 meters with a time of 35:49.68 at the NCAA West First Rounds, took bronze in the 10,000 meters with a time of 34:17.99 at the MW Outdoor Championships and set a PR in the 10,000 meters with a time of 33:34.62, which ranks third in school history, as she won her section at the Stanford Invitational. In the indoor season, Thornley placed 10th in the 5,000 meters with a time of 17:09.58 and 16th in the 3,000 meters with a time of 9:54.67 at the MW Indoor Championships. She posted PRs in the mile with a time of 4:59.83, which ranks sixth all-time in school history, and 5,000 meters with a time of 16:29.30, which ranks fifth all-time in school history.
Garnica, with a major in human development and family studies, maintained a perfect 4.0 GPA. During the outdoor season, he posted a PR in the 3,000-meter steeplechase with a time of 8:44.88, which ranks sixth in school history. At the NCAA West First Rounds, Garnica placed 28th in the 3,000-meter steeplechase with a time of 9:06.13. During the indoor season, Garnica placed 17th in the 3,000 meters with a time of 8:23.72 at the MW Indoor Championships.
