Esteban Jaramillo was named a Cobalt All-America Scholar, it was announced on Thursday. In all, 532 NCAA Division I athletes from 180 schools earned 2023-24 Cobalt Golf All-America Scholar honors.
Jaramillo, a junior from Bogotá, Colombia, holds a 3.64 GPA while majoring in finance. He has also earned College Sports Communicator Academic All-District honors each of the past two years and is a three-time academic all-Mountain West (2022, 2023, 2024) and MW Scholar-Athlete (2022, 2023, 2024) honoree.
Jaramillo had a stroke average of 73.31 during the 2023-24 campaign. He shot par or better in nine of his 26 rounds, while placing in the top 10 individually once.
To be eligible for Cobalt Golf All-America Scholar nomination, an individual must be a sophomore, junior or senior both academically and athletically, they must participate in 50 percent of their team's competitive rounds, have a stroke average under 76.0 in NCAA Division I, and maintain a minimum cumulative career grade-point average of 3.2. A recipient must also be of high moral character and be in good standing at their college or university.
