LA JOLLA, California — Utah State's golf team is currently in 11th place as it shot a 21-over 309 during the first round of the UC San Diego Invitational here Sunday at storied Torrey Pines Golf Course.
CSU Northridge and New Mexico State are tied for first in the 20-team field at 13-over 301. Individually, there is a three-way tie for first at 1-under 71 with Lehigh's Jake Roth, Arkansas State's Thomas Schmidt and New Mexico State's Aidan Thomas.
Senior
Esteban Jaramillo led Utah State on Sunday and is tied for 14th at 3-over 75. Graduate
John Cook is tied for 32nd at 5-over 77. Senior
Julio Arronte is tied for 42nd at 6-over 78. Graduate
Cole Enlow is tied for 57th at 7-over 79. Sophomore
Enrique Karg is tied for 83rd at 9-over 81.
Teams will play 18 holes on Monday with a shotgun start at 1 p.m. (MT). The tournament will conclude on Tuesday with the final 18 holes beginning at 8 a.m. (MT).
