LOGAN, Utah – Utah State kicker
Tanner Rinker was named the Old Trapper Mountain West Special Teams Player of the Week for his performance in USU's 28-16 season opening home win against UTEP on Saturday night. It is Rinker's first-ever conference honor.

Tanner Rinker, Kicker (6-2, 190, Jr., Castle Rock, Colo.)
- Made a career-long 49-yard field goal in the first quarter for the first points of the game for USU.
- Made a 28-yard field goal in the second quarter.
- Was 2-for-2 on field goals and 2-for-2 on extra points as he scored eight points in the game.

Utah State continues its 2025 season this weekend with a road game at No. 19 Texas A&M on Saturday, Sept. 6, at 10:45 a.m. (MT). The game will be televised on the SEC Network.
