Appeared in all 12 games and finished the season with 15 tackles (10-solo), including 1.0 sacks and 3.0 tackles for loss, to go along with one fumble recovery … had a season-high six tackles against San Diego State (11/23), which included a career-high-tying 1.0 sacks and a career-best 2.0 tackles for loss … recorded four tackles against Hawai’i (11/16) … had 1.0 tackles for loss at No. 20 Washington State (11/9) … recovered his first-career fumble against New Mexico (10/19) … earned academic All-Mountain West honors.

2023 (SOPHOMORE SEASON)
Played in all 13 games and made his first career start at Air Force (9/15) … finished the season with 25 tackles (9-solo), which included 2.0 sacks … had a career-high 11 tackles, including a career-high-tying 1.0 sacks, at Air Force for his first-career double-digit tackle outing … had four tackles, including his first-career sack, against Idaho State (9/9) … added two tackles against James Madison (9/23), Colorado State (10/7), San Diego State (11/4) and Nevada (11/11) … earned academic All-Mountain West honors.

2022 (REDSHIRT FRESHMAN SEASON)
Appeared in all 13 games, mostly on special teams, and finished the season with one tackle against New Mexico (11/5) ... earned academic All-Mountain West honors.

Appeared in one game for UCF while working primarily on the scout team as a freshman during the 2021 season.

HIGH SCHOOL
Three-star prospect that was ranked as the sixth-best player in the state of Arkansas by 247Sports.com … played middle linebacker and running back at Bentonville (Arkansas) High School … helped the Tigers to a 10-1 record as senior in 2020, including a 7A West Conference title and an appearance in the second round of the Arkansas 7A playoffs … had 102 tackles, to go along with two interceptions and one forced fumble, as senior in 2020 ... scored two touchdowns as a running back … named the Arkansas Division I Defensive Player of the Year as a junior in 2019, helping Bentonville HS to the Arkansas 7A playoff semifinals and 11-1 record … earned Arkansas All-State honors as a junior after making 104 tackles, which included 3.0 sacks, while adding eight pass breakups and two forced fumbles … had 80 tackles, which included 1.0 sacks and 4.0 tackles for loss, to go along with three pass breakups, as a sophomore in 2018 … helped Bentonville HS win 25-straight league games through the end of 2019 season … ran on the track & field team, recording a 100-meter personal record of 11.10 as a junior in 2020 … finished eighth at the Arkansas Class 6A state meet in the 100 meters (11.11 PR) in 2019 … qualified for state in the 200 meters (22.66 PR) and shot put (44-4 3/4 PR), and also ran the 4x100 relay.

PERSONAL
One of two children of JD and Jennifer Joyce ... earned his bachelor's degree in exercise science from USU in the summer of 2024 and is pursuing his master's in sports management.
