Kennedi Hansen is in her first season as an assistant coach and director of operations for Utah State after being hired in March 2025.
Hansen joined the Aggies after spending the previous year in Texas and working for Q3 Interactive. Prior to that, Hansen played volleyball at Utah State and was a key part of the Aggies winning three-straight Mountain West titles, claiming regular season titles in 2021 and 2023 and winning the conference tournament in 2022. In her three seasons at USU, Hansen totaled over 540 kills, 310 blocks, 85 digs and 30 aces. She was named to the all-Mountain West team and to the all-MW Tournament team in 2022 as a senior and is the program record holder in career hitting percentage with a mark of .362. Hansen also ranks ninth all-time with 39 solo blocks as an Aggie and owns the program record for hitting percentage in a single match with 15-19 attempts (.813 versus Air Force). Hansen was named to the academic all-Mountain West team in both 2022 and 2023. Hansen began her collegiate career at Arizona State, playing two seasons for the Sun Devils before transferring to USU.
Hansen graduated with a bachelor’s degree in interdisciplinary studies from Utah State in 2022, and received a master’s in business administration from USU in 2023. She is married to former Utah State, Nevada and Texas Tech football player, James Hansen.
