Aggies Shutout by Indiana

BLOOMINGTON, Ind. - - USU's women's soccer team was shutout 3-0 by Indiana Sunday afternoon. The Aggies fall to 0-4 on the season while Indiana remains undefeated at 5-0.

It didn't take IU long to get on the scoreboard as sophomore Kate Kastl scored Indiana's first goal off an assist from freshman Emily Hotz at the 8:05 mark. IU scored its second goal of the period five minutes later when junior Stacey Peterson found the net on a pass from sophomore Emily Markwell in the 14th minute of play.

The Hoosiers stopped any chance of an Aggie comeback in the second period when Peterson and Markwell again teamed up for IU's third and final goal of the game at 58:25. Utah State did take seven shots, including two shots on goal, throughout the game but could not capatilize on the oppurtunities and remained scoreless after 90 minutes of play.

They Aggies next game will be Sunday, Sept. 17 when they play Nevada at home, beginning at noon.
