The Aggies came out of the gates firing, turning in the third best vault score in school history (49.100). USU's 49.100 was not only a season high but marks the first time Utah State has scored above a 49.000 on the vault since the 1997 season when the Aggies recorded a 49.175 at Michigan on Mar. 13. USU did not have to count a score below a 9.800 as sophomore Nicole Kilpatrick led the vault team with a 9.850 and senior Megan Woolstenhulme and junior Jessenia Abrego followed with 9.825's.
Utah State continued to dominate in the second rotation as three Aggies scored 9.875's on the bars to set the pace for the Aggies season-high 49.250 score. USU's 49.250 tied for the third best bar mark in Utah State history. Aggies scoring 9.875's and earning first place finishes on the event included sophomore Tina Ellis, freshman Brittnee Penman, and Abrego.
On the beam the Aggies continued to struggle having to count one fall towards the team score to post a 48.450. The event was highlighted by freshman Mika Houston's 9.825 and senior Megan Woolstenhulme's 9.800.
The Aggies pulled out an amazing floor rotation scoring a 49.225 to secure the Utah State victory. Junior Jessenia Abrego tied her career-high of 9.900 to pace the Aggies squad while sophomores Nicole Kilpatrick and Allison Rosenthal each recorded 9.875's. Kilpatrick's 9.875 was enough to give her the evenings all-around title as she turned in the fifth best all-around score in school history with her 39.325 mark.
