LOGAN, Utah -
Freshman tennis player Carolyn Larsen has been named Utah State's Athlete of the Week. The award is voted on by a local media panel.
Larsen won both of her matches last week. At Utah, Larsen picked up her first collegiate win, taking the match 6-2, 6-3. Saturday against Portland State, Larsen won 6-0, 6-0.
The Aggies will continue their 2002 season Jan. 23 at Idaho State.

Basketball-Tony Brown (Hyrum, Utah) . . . Tony Brown led Utah State to its biggest road win in 24 years with 20 points, four assists and four rebounds at UC Riverside. Brown went 5-8 from three-point range in the game. Against Cal State Fullerton, Brown scored 12 points and tied his career-high with seven rebounds to go along with five assists. For the week, Brown averaged 16 points, 5.5 rebounds, 4.5 assists and shot 56.3 percent (9-16) from three-point range.
Men's Tennis-Jason Trask (St. George, Utah). . . Jason Trask had the only singles victory during last week's match against Air Force Academy. Trask defeated Phil Yim 6-4, 6-2.
