Final Stats

BOISE, Idaho - Utah State fell to 3-3 on the 2002 season, losing to Boise State 192.775-192.550 tonight in Boise, Idaho. The Aggies led after the first three rotations, 144.525-143.750. Boise State came back in the floor exercise, outscoring USU 49.025-48.025, to win the meet.

Senior Jessenia Abrego competed in the all-around for just the second time in her career, winning the all-around with a career-high 39.175. Abrego and teammate Kirra Seeley tied for first in the beam competition (9.775), while Abrego was USU's top finisher in vault and floor exercise and took second on vault (9.825) and third in floor exercise (9.825). Her all-around score ties for the 18th best in USU history, while her vault score ties for the eighth-best in school history, and marks the seventh time she has recorded a 9.825 in the event.

For the second time this season, freshman Katie Rutherford led USU on bars, posting a 9.800, and tying for second in the event. In addition to tying Abrego for first in beam, Seeley posted 9.775s on bars, finishing second for the Aggies.

The Aggies return to action on Wednesday 6 p.m. against Brigham Young in the Dee Glen Smith Spectrum. The Olympic torch will make a stop before the meet, with doors opening at 3:30 p.m.
