Final Stats

CEDAR CITY, Utah - Utah State gymnastics (5-12) scored its second-best team score of the season, but lost to Southern Utah (3-10), 196.000-194.850 Wednesday in Cedar City. SUU's score was its best this year.

The Aggies tied their best floor score of the season, 48.950, which they set March 8 against No. 17 Arizona State and Southern Utah. SUU won every rotation on the night, setting season bests on bars (48.850), beam (49.125) and floor (49.225).

USU set three season bests and tied a career-best, as senior Kirra Seeley tied her career high on bars with a 9.850, and set a season best of 9.850 on beam. Two Aggies - Stephanie Gordon and Allison Rosenthal - set season highs on floor, with a 9.775 and 9.850, respectively.

Senior Jessenia Abrego won vault, scoring a 9.825, while Seeley tied for first on bars and took third on beam. Freshman Nalani Chung scored a 9.800 on bars, taking third and tying a career high. On floor, Abrego and Rosenthal's 9.850s tied for third.

The Aggies travel to Cal State Fullerton on Friday for an 8 p.m. meet, and host the Western Gymnastics Conference meet on Friday, March 22 at 7 p.m. in the Dee Glen Smith Spectrum.
