OGDEN, Utah - Caroline Pollock and Jill Smith both posted singles victories in a losing cause, as Utah State's Women's Tennis was edged by Weber State, 4-3. The Aggies dropped to 6-9, while the Wildcats improved to 8-7.
Pollock defeated Maria Bublik, 6-3, 6-0 at number one singles and Jill Smith defeated Elana Smit, 6-2, 6-0 at the number four spot.
The Aggies won the doubles point as Pollock, teamed with Lindsey Bennion won at number one doubles and the Carolyn Larsen/Haley Hawkins duo won at the number two spot, 8-0.
The Aggies and Wildcats split on the season, as USU won on Feb. 20, 4-3 in Logan.
The Aggies host Portland State on Saturday, April 12, at 9 a.m. at the Sports Academy in Logan.
