Final Stats

LOGAN, Utah - Utah State scored a 49.475 on the floor for its second best score in school history in that event, but fell short in its own triangular meet with Boise State and Missouri. The 10th-ranked Tigers won the meet with a 196.350 total, while USU was second at 195.350 and Boise State third at 194.050.

USU's Liesel Kohler scored a 9.950 to win the floor event, while Ashley Barr recorded a 9.925 to finish second. Alex Martin was fourth with a 9.900. Kohler's 9.950 was the second-best individual floor score in school history.

"The floor is the reason why I do gymnstics," Kohler said. "I love it. The crowd gets so excited. I love getting into it and showing what I have got."

Martin finished second in the all-around behind Boise State's Carla Chambers. Chambers scored a 39.325, while Martin finished at 39.025. USU's Gretchen Goerlitz was third in the all-around at 38.975.

The Aggies started the meet on the vault and scored a 48.775 to tie their second-best vault score of the year. USU led the meet after that event. The Aggies then moved to the bars and scored a 48.200 to drop behind Missouri. The Tigers scored at least 49 in three of the four events, suffering only a 48.700 on the floor.

Utah State will travel to Salt Lake City to face Utah on Friday, Feb. 27. After that meet the Aggies will host four straight home meets before the Western Gymnastics Conference Championships at Boise, Idaho on March 20.
