Senior Lindsey Bennion led Utah State's women's tennis team to 7-0 victory over the Gonzaga Bulldogs Friday afternoon. Bennion defeated Emily Anderson 6-2, 6-4 to win the No. 1 singles match. Bennion also shared the No. 1 doubles victory with Andrea Barker defeating Gonzaga's Erin Humphrey and Courtney Lau 8-7.

Utah State went on to win the other five singles matches. Jill Smith played the No. 2 spot singles defeating Erin Humphrey 6-1, 6-1. Sophomore Courtney Anderson won 6-1 in the first set beating Carrie Schofield and not allowing a single point in the second set finishing at 6-0.

In doubles action Utah State won all three of the matches. No. 2 Lauren Monson and Jill Smith defeated Carrie Schofield and Emily Anderson 8-6. Aggies Courtney Anderson and Dee-Dee Nelson had success in the No. 3 spot winning the match against Erica Moldenhauer and Katie Colton 8-3.

This is the Aggies first win of the spring season as they improved to 1-1.
