BOZEMAN, Mont.-- Utah State's women's tennis team fell to Wyoming 5-2 on Sunday morning. The Aggies are now 1-3 this season.
The Aggies were not successful in doubles action going 0-3 against the Cowgirls. "In doubles we didn't move well or take the opportunities we had so that reflected a lot in our outcome," said USU head coach Christian Wright.
As for singles play Aggie Courtney Anderson defeated Jamie Nelson 6-1, 7-5 at number three, while Andrea Barker defeated Amy Senko in a super tie-breaker 2-6, 7-5, 11-9 for USU's only victories.
"In singles we competed harder, but we also faced really hard competition," Wright said. "We will take what we have learned from playing Wyoming and go back and work on stuff for our next match in El Paso."
The Aggies finished 1-2 in Bozeman, Mont. and will be in action again on Feb. 3 in El Paso, Texas against UTEP. The match will begin at 2 p.m.
