Utah State's women's tennis team lost to UTEP 5-2 on Friday. The Aggies are now 1-4 this season.

In singles action Aggie Courtney Anderson took the No. 3 spot beating Katherine Palider 4-6, 7-6, 13-11. Lauren Monson defeated Amber Brightly 6-3, 6-2 taking the No. 6 spot.

For doubles action the Aggies won one of the three matches at the No. 2 spot. Jill Smith/Lauren Monson defeated UTEP's Amber Brightly and Sandra Spirta 8-2.

The Aggies will be in action again on February 4 at 2 p.m. against North Texas.
