LOGAN, Utah - Utah State gymnastics had its third and final intrasquad meet of the season on Thursday at the HPER gym on the USU Campus.

The White team beat the Blue team, 191.850 to 189.625. The White team had higher scorers on vault (48.400-48.225), bars (48.450 to 47.400) and beam (47.600 to 46.400), while the Blue had a higher score on floor (47.600 to 47.400).

Members of the White team were seniors Katie Omann and Ana Rickard-Whitfield, junior Nicki Felley, freshmen Chelsea Marquardt, Nicole Simoneau, Lyndsie Boone and Maegan Snodgrass.

Making up the Blue team were seniors Megan Tschida and Kelly Patterson, junior Devin Markle, sophomore Heather Heinrich, along with freshmen Jasmine Minion and Jackie Dillon.

Tschida had the high score in the all-around with a 38.700, followed by Simoneau at 38.500 as well as Minion and Heinrich at 38.400 each.

Marquardt took top honors in vault with a 9.900 followed by Minion at 9.750 and four others all at 9.700. Marquardt also had the high score on bars, posting a 9.850, just edging Heinrich and Felley with 9.800's.

Tschida had a high score of 9.750 on beam, while Felley and Minion each posted 9.650. Simoneau and Tschida shared top points on floor with 9.700's, while Omann tallied a 9.550.

USU will begin the 2008 season ranked 33rd in the country as the Troester Women's Preseason Coaches Poll was released earlier this week.

After a "Meet The Aggies" exhibition meet on Jan. 8 at the Dee Glen Smith Spectrum, Utah State opens the year on Jan. 11 at Boise State in a dual. USU returns to Logan for its home-opener on Jan. 18 against Sacramento State, followed by its second meet in as many weeks against Boise State in the Spectrum on Jan. 22.

Utah State finished third at the WAC Championships and sixth at last year's NCAA Regionals, marking the 26th time in the 30 years of USU Gymnastics that the Aggies qualified for postseason competition. The Aggies have seven returning letterwinners as well as eight newcomers on their roster.

All USU home meets begin at 6:30 p.m.
