LAYTON, Utah - Utah State's Chanse Godderidge shot a final round 1-over 73 to finish tied for 28th-place with a 9-over 225 at the Weber State hosted Wildcat Invitational held here at the Valley View Golf Course Tuesday.

Utah State finished in eighth-place in the 11-team field with a 41-over 905 (306-296-303). Sacramento State (288-284-296) and Arkansas-Little Rock (296-292-280) tied for the team championship with scores of 4-over 868, while the Hornets Cameron Rappleye took medalist honors with a 4-under 137 (68-69-75).

Godderidge, a senior from Smithfield, Utah began the tournament with a six-over 78 and then carded a 2-over 74 during his second 18-holes Monday before concluding the tournament with a 1-over 73 on Tuesday for his 9-over 225. Godderidge led the field with 41 pars and finished second overall on the par 3's at 1-under.

Freshman Tanner Jenson (Parker, Colo.) finished the tournament tied for 30th with a 10-over 226 (76-72-78), while freshman Brennan Coburn (Layton, Utah) tied for 37th with a 12-over 228 (76-77-75). Freshman Andrew Paulson (Sandy, Utah) tied for 45th with a 14-over 230 (76-73-81), and sophomore Tanner Higham (Shelley, Idaho) finished 66th with a 22-over 238 (79-82-77).

Utah State also has two individuals competing in the tournament as senior Cobie Lunsford (Evanston, Wyo.) tied for 37th with a 12-over 228 (77-75-76), while senior Austin French (Idaho Falls, Idaho) placed 55th with an 18-over 234 (74-77-83).

Utah State will return to action on Monday, Oct. 17 when it travels to Northridge, Calif., to compete in the Bill Cullum Invitational.
