Oct. 16, 2014 LOGAN, Utah - After a four-match homestand, Utah State (8-4-2, 4-1-1 MW) soccer is on the road again this week. The Aggies are set to continue Mountain West competition at league-leader San Diego State (11-2-1, 6-0-0 MW) on Friday, Oct. 17 with an 8 p.m. (MT) kickoff.
Utah State has met San Diego State three times in the last four seasons, but have yet to come out with a win. The Aztecs lead the all-time series, 2-0-1. The teams last met in the 2013 Mountain West Tournament where San Diego State stopped Utah State, 3-2, in the semifinals.
The Aztecs are 11-2-1 on the season with a perfect 6-0-0 Mountain West record. Currently on a seven-match winning streak, SDSU is coming off wins at Nevada (5-1) and at UNLV (3-0). Senior midfielder/forward Kelsey Booth leads the Aztecs in scoring this season as she has six goals and seven assists. Ten other players have combined to contribute to the 34 total goals scored. Junior goalkeeper Melanie Vaughn has spent the majority of the season in the net. She has allowed 13 goals for a goals against average of 1.01, while logging 34 saves. San Diego State is coached by Mike Friesen who is in his eighth season in the position.
Sophomore forward Jessica Brooksby leads the Aggies in scoring, having netted four goals this season. Junior goalkeeper Jeannie Woller holds down the net, with a goals against average of 0.97, allowing just 13 goals this season.

The Aggies will continue the roadtrip Sunday, Oct. 19 when they play at New Mexico at 1 p.m.
