Scoring in her third-straight match, junior forward Jessica Brooksby led Utah State to a 1-0 win at Colorado State Friday, netting the game-winner with just 41 seconds to play.

With the win, Utah State improves to 10-7-1 overall this season, with a 5-4-0 Mountain West record. The Rams fall to 3-13-2 on the year, going 0-8-1 in league action.

The Aggies fired off 16 shots during Friday's match, the most as a team since taking 19 against Idaho State. Colorado State took just six shots throughout the duration of the game, matching the fewest shots by a USU opponent set by Missouri State in the second game of the year. USU had eight shots on goal to CSU's two. Senior Jeannie Woller was in the net for the Aggies Friday. With her two saves, she now ranks second all-time on the USU list with 237 career saves.

The entire game was a quiet one in Fort Collins, Friday. Of USU's 16 total shots, nine of them came in the first half. With neither team able to capitalize on its opportunities early on, the teams went into the halftime break in a scoreless draw.

Both teams came out of the break with a bit more fire and motivation, but struggled to maintain possession. As the offensive play picked up on both ends of the field, the defense increased. With increased defense came more calls as the Aggies were issued a pair of yellow cards on junior midfielder Jayne Robison and sophomore midfielder Wesley Hamblin.

As the clock ticked down and the threat of overtime loomed, the USU offense secured the win. Brooksby gained control of the ball, dribbling up through the Colorado State defense. Firing from the top of the box, she found the bottom corner of the net to put the Aggies on the board. With just enough time to kick-off again, the Aggies ended the game in control.

Utah State concludes the road portion of its regular season at Wyoming on Sunday, Oct. 25. The Aggies and Cowgirls will battle from Laramie at 1 p.m. as both teams look to secure a position in the Mountain West Tournament.
