April 20, 2015 LOGAN, Utah - The Mountain West announced the seedings for its 2015 Women's Tennis Tournament on Monday afternoon, with Utah State (13-10, 2-3 MW) earning the sixth seed. The Aggies will face off against eleventh-seeded UNLV on Wednesday, April 22 at 12 p.m. (MT).
The 2015 MW Women's Tennis Championship will be held April 22-26 at the McKinnon Family Tennis Center in Albuquerque, New Mexico. First round action begins Wednesday, April 22 at 9 a.m. (MT), with the quarterfinals on Friday, April 24, starting at 9 a.m. (MT). The semifinals will be played on Saturday, April 25 at 3 p.m. (MT) and 6 p.m. (MT), with the championship match set for 2 p.m. (MT) on Sunday, April 26. All matches at the 2015 MW Tennis Championships will be broadcast live and for free on the Mountain West Network, powered by Campus Insiders.
This will be the first meeting between the Aggies and Rebels this season, however UNLV took a 6-1 victory against Utah State in Las Vegas last season. USU's lone point came by a singles victory by sophomore Nini Guensler.
In other first-round action on Wednesday, No. 8 Air Force will face off with No. 9 Colorado State at 9 a.m. (MT). Then, No. 7 Nevada and No. 10 Boise State square off at 3 p.m. (MT). Quarterfinal play on Friday, April 24 begins at 9 a.m. MT with No. 4 San Diego State and No. 5 Wyoming. The Bulldogs will meet the winner of the Falcons/Rams match at Noon (MT). In the afternoon session, the Spartans will play either Utah State or UNLV, while the Lobos will face the winner of Wednesday's match between the Wolf Pack and Broncos at 6 p.m. (MT).
