LOGAN, Utah - Utah State women's tennis has released its 2018 spring schedule, as announced Tuesday by head coach Sean McInerney. The schedule includes eight home matches, as well as a match against Denver, which finished the 2017 season ranked No. 37 by the Intercollegiate Tennis Association (ITA).

"This is the strongest schedule we have put together since I have been at Utah State," McInerney said. "It will allow us to test ourselves early and often, and prepare us for the battles in conference play. I am excited to see how our program meets the challenge."

The Aggies kick off the season with two home matches against Southern Utah on Jan. 20, at 10 a.m., and Idaho State on Jan. 26, at 11 a.m.

USU then has a nine-match road trip, beginning at Arizona on Jan. 28. The Aggie netters will next travel to East Lansing, Mich., to face Michigan State on Feb. 2, at 3 p.m. (MT), and Akron on Feb. 3, at 10 a.m. (MT). Utah State wraps up its trip to Michigan with a doubleheader on Feb. 4, when it faces Oakland and then Detroit Mercy at 1 p.m. (MT). USU will take on Denver on Feb. 9, at 7 p.m., and then Utah on Feb. 15. The netters wrap up the road trip with a doubleheader on Feb. 17, facing Grand Canyon and Colorado Mesa.

Utah State returns to Logan to face Washington State on March 1, at 5 p.m. The Aggies will then head to California for a series of matches beginning with Seton Hall on March 5, Boston University on March 6, UC Riverside on March 8, at 2:30 p.m., and Cal State Fullerton on March 11, at noon.

On March 22, the Aggies will host BYU for the first time in program history at 11 a.m. Utah State will then face Montana at home on March 25, at 10 a.m. USU returns to the road to face conference-foes Colorado State and Wyoming on March 29, at 3 p.m., and March 31, respectively.

Following the road trip, the Aggie netters will have a three-match homestand, facing off against Northern Arizona, Air Force and New Mexico at 11 a.m., on April 6, 13 and 15, respectively. Utah State wraps up the regular season at Boise State on April 21. The Mountain West Championships will be held in Boise, Idaho, from April 26-29.
