Utah State 2016-17 Season in Review

LOGAN, Utah - Utah State men's tennis captured its second consecutive Mountain West regular season championship, went on to win the MW tournament and received the team's first NCAA Tournament berth, providing one of many highlights of the 2016-17 season for USU athletics.

Individually, redshirt freshman Sindri Gudmundsson earned first-team All-American honors after finishing sixth in the javelin at the NCAA National Championships. In cross country, junior Dillon Maggard earned All-American honors by finishing 12th at the NCAA Championships.

Academically, Utah State student-athletes earned a total of 258 conference academic honors, including 148 academic all-Mountain West honors, 105 Mountain West Scholar-Athlete citations and five all-Mountain Rim Gymnastics Conference accolades.
