Day One Results

SIMI VALLEY, Calif. – Utah State's golf team is in second place with a 13-under-par 563 (276-287) after the first two rounds of the Cal State Northridge-hosted Bill Cullum Invitational held Monday at the par-72, 6,849-yard The Wood Ranch Golf Club.
 
San Diego State leads the 13-team field at 30-under 546 (267-279), while the Aztec's Puwit Anupansuebsai sits on top of the leaderboard at 15-under 129 (63-66).
 
Colten Cordingley is one of two Aggie golfers that are currently among the top 11 players in the field, as the junior carded rounds of 66 and 71 and is in seventh place at 7-under 137. For Cordingley, his 6-under 66 during his first 18 holes is his best-ever collegiate round. Overall, he now has three rounds in the 60s this year and five his career to go along with 12 career rounds under par, including five this fall.
 
Fellow junior Andy Hess is currently tied for eighth place at 6-under 138 (69-69). For Hess, he now has four rounds in the 60s this year and seven his career to go along with 17 career rounds under par, including six this fall after carding back-to-back rounds of 69 on Monday.
 
Senior Chase Lansford is currently tied for 31st at even-par 144 (70-74). For Lansford, he now has five rounds under par this fall and 22 in his career following his opening round of 2-under.
 
Rounding out Utah State's competitors is sophomore Cameron Tucker, who is tied for 49th at 3-over 147 (74-73) and senior Hayden Eckert, who is tied for 55th at 4-over 148 (71-77). Eckert's opening round of 1-under 71 is his 13th career round under par.
 
Utah State will play its final round on Tuesday morning and be paired with players from San Diego State and Grand Canyon.
