LOGAN, Utah – Utah State's Madison Ward-Sessions was named the Mountain Rim Gymnastics Conference (MRGC) co-Floor Specialist of the Week following her performance on the event last Friday night against Alaska at the Dee Glen Smith Spectrum.
 
It is the fourth time this year and 13th time in her career that the senior all-arounder has earned MRGC weekly accolades. Overall, this is Utah State's 28th MRGC weekly accolade in its fourth season in the league.
 
Ward-Sessions won the floor title with a career-high-tying 9.925 in the Aggies' 194.925-192.675 victory over the Seawolves. She now has 18 career floor titles, which is tied for second all-time in school history, just one away from tying the top mark of 19 set by Michelle Pohl (1983-86).
 
Against Alaska, Ward-Sessions also captured her fourth all-around title of the season with a 39.200. With those two titles on Friday, she now has 34 career individual titles, which is tied for sixth all-time in Utah State history.
 
On the season, Ward-Sessions has a Regional Qualifying Score (RQS) of 9.895, which is tied for 19th nationally. She currently averages 9.886 on the event.
 
BYU's Shannon Evans shared MRGC co-Floor Specialist of the Week honors with Ward-Sessions after recording a 9.925 in the Cougars' meet at Southern Utah last weekend.
 
Boise State's Courtney McGregor was tabbed the MRGC Gymnast of the Week (39.400), Vault Specialist of the Week (9.900) and Bars Specialist of the Week (9.875). The Broncos' Shani Remme was earned Beam Specialist of the Week (9.925) accolades.
 
Ward-Sessions and the Aggies return to action on Friday, March 1, when they head to the Gem State to face No. 13 Boise State in a tri meet, which also features No. 17 Washington, in Boise, Idaho. The meet is slated to begin at 7 p.m., at Taco Bell Arena.
