LOGAN, Utah – Utah State women's tennis (10-10, 1-3 MW) will look to end the regular season on a high note when the Aggies host Boise State (7-10, 0-4 MW) on Saturday, April 20, at 11 a.m., at the Outdoor Tennis Courts.
"It is always a great match when we play Boise State," said head coach Sean McInerney. "They always play hard and very motivated. It is a well coached program and we are looking forward to ending our regular season on a positive note heading into the conference tournament."
In their last match, the Aggies came back from a 3-0 deficit for a 4-3 home win against Colorado State for their first conference win of the season last Sunday at the Sports Academy & Racquet Club.
Utah State is led by freshman Sidnee Lavatai with a 11-5 mark in dual matches, including 10-3 at the No. 6 spot, while sophomore Alexandra Pisareva is 10-3. In doubles, the duo of Lavatai and Pisareva are 8-3.
Boise State leads Utah State, 34-2, in program history. In singles for the Broncos, junior Lilian Poling leads with a 12-4 record, including 10-1 at the No. 2 spot. In doubles, Poling and sophomore Wilhelmina Palmer are 12-4 at the No. 1 spot.
