COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. – Utah State women's tennis (9-9, 0-2 MW) lost their second-straight road conference match as they were swept, 4-0, at Air Force on Sunday afternoon.

"I think we are doing some really good things. We need to get better at staying consistent at our movement and full commitment to the patterns that give us the competitive advantage," said head coach Sean McInerney. "We played very hard and sometimes you just get beat. Today, a very good Air Force team was too much for us. We are looking forward to finally playing back at home for our final three conference matches."
 
In doubles play, the Falcons opened things up with a 6-2 win at the top spot, but freshmen Sidnee Lavatai and Gabrielle Dekkers won, 6-3, at the third position to tie it up. However, Air Force would earn the doubles point as they captured a 6-3 win at the second spot.

Air Force won three-straight matches in straight-sets on courts two, four and six to clinch the match. Freshman Annaliese County played and the No. 3 spot, winning her first set, 7-6, and was up 4-2 in her second set before the match went unfinished. Lavatai lost her first set at the No. 6 spot, and was up 4-1 in her second set, before the match went unfinished. 

Utah State will return home after a 10-match road trip with a pair of conference matches against Wyoming on Friday, April 12, at 11 a.m., and Colorado State on Sunday, April 14, at 10 a.m.
