LOGAN, Utah – Utah State women's tennis has been named an all-Academic Team by the Intercollegiate Tennis Association and three members of the team have been named Scholar Athletes. The individuals honored include junior Hannah Jones and freshmen Annaliese County and Gabrielle Dekkers. The Aggies were one of 201 NCAA Division I women's teams to be named to the list, while the three student-athletes were among 1,041 student-athletes recognized.

The ITA All-Academic Team award is open to any ITA program that has a cumulative team grade point average of 3.20 or above (on a 4.00 scale). All varsity letter winners were factored into the cumulative team GPA for the current academic year (including fall 2018 and spring 2019).

In order to earn ITA Scholar-Athlete status a player must meet the following criteria: be a varsity letterwinner, have a grade point average of at least 3.50 (on a 4.00 scale) for the current academic year, and have been enrolled at their present school for at least two semesters (including freshman through senior year).

Jones finished the 2018-19 campaign with an overall mark of 14-14 in singles, including a 7-10 ledger during the dual match season at the Nos. 1-3 spot, and a 7-4 record in the fall season. The junior from North Ogden, Utah, also became one of eight Aggies all-time to capture 100 or more career combined wins as she has ended the season with 102 career wins as an Aggie. Jones earned all-Mountain West honors in doubles with sophomore Alexandra Taylor after posting a 6-8 dual match record at the Nos. 1 and 2 spots. She was also recognized for her academic achievements by the Mountain West, earning academic all-conference accolades.

County finished the 2018-19 year with an overall mark of 15-17 in singles, including 6-3 at the No. 5 spot. The freshman from Highland, Utah, made her mark on the doubles court after compiling an overall mark of 17-14, including a 11-9 record during the dual match season. County recorded a 2-2 mark against Mountain West opponents during the dual match season and provided a team-high four match-clinching points. County was also recognized for her academic achievements by the Mountain West, earning academic all-MW honors and Mountain West Scholar Athlete accolades.

Dekkers finished tied for third on the team with 15 singles victories during the 2018-19 season, going 15-17 in singles and 6-11 in doubles. The product of Ammerzoden, Natherlands, also recorded a team-high-tying three singles win against Mountain West competition, going 3-2 overall.
