LOGAN, Utah - The Utah State women's tennis team will be opening its fall season at the Barb Chandler Classic, in Boise, Idaho, this weekend.

This tournament will be played a little different than most, as it will be played as a pairs tournament. Each school will be dividing its roster into two-person pairs, who will than compete together throughout the tournament in doubles and singles.

The tournament will begin on Friday, Sept. 13, and will go through Sunday, Sept. 15.

At the Barb Chandler Classic, five teams are scheduled to compete, including Boise State, Idaho, Idaho State, Utah State, and Weber State.

Utah State women's tennis returns five letterwinners from last year's team that went 12-11 overall and 2-3 in the Mountain West play, with seniors Hannah Jones and Lucy Octave, and sophomores Annaliese County, Gabrielle Dekkers and Sidnee Lavatai returning to the court for the Aggies. Utah State also welcomes the addition of freshmen Renata Lombera, Carolina Millán, Lillian Okamoto and Zara Ryan.
