LOGAN,Utah – The Utah State women's tennis team will be traveling to Pocatello, Idaho, this weekend to participate in the Idaho State Invitational.
The tournament will begin on Friday, Sept. 20, and will go through Sunday, Sept. 22.
Weber State, Boise State, Montana State, and Idaho State are all teams scheduled to participate.
"It will be nice to get back on the courts again this weekend," head women's tennis coach Sean McInerney said. "It is a great chance to keep working on our doubles, and continue our growth as singles players."
Utah State enters the tournament after competing in the Barb Chandler Classic last weekend, where it finished taking home a few championships. Teammates Hannah Jones, Sidnee Lavatai, Lucy Octave and Carolina Millan all went head-to-head in the championship match with Octave and Millan posting victories in singles to capture the title.
Annaliese County and Renate Lombera won their singles matches in the consolation bracket as well, defeating Boise State's Joana Baptista and Frankie Trella, 2-1.
"We had a great first invite and we are excited to keep the momentum going!" McInerney said.
