LOGAN, Utah – Utah State women's tennis opens its 2020 season this weekend, as it hosts Southern Utah (1-5) on Sunday, Feb. 2, at 11 a.m.
The match will be played at the Sports Academy & Racquet Club. Admission is free. A live video feed of each court will be provided. Southern Utah comes to Logan with a 1-5 record. The Thunderbirds earned their sole win in dominating fashion, defeating Coppin State, 7-0, in their last match.
USU competed in five fall tournaments, where sophomore Sidnee Lavatai led the Aggies with a 10-4 singles record, while freshman Carolina Millan recorded a team-best 11-3 record in doubles action playing with freshman Renata Lombera and senior Lucy Octave. In 2019, Utah State posted an overall record of 12-11, going 2-3 in Mountain West play.
