LOGAN, Utah – Utah State men's cross country runner Camren Todd has been named the U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association Division I Men's National Athlete of the Week, it was announced Wednesday by the organization.

It is the first national weekly award for Todd, who was named the America First Credit Union USU Student Athlete of the Week on Monday, in his Utah State career. The native of Kaysville, Utah, is the first Aggie to earn National Athlete of the Week honors in cross country since 2017, when Dillon Maggard took home the award on Oct. 2.

Todd officially made his Utah State cross country debut at the Dixie State Invitational, which was held last Saturday at The Golf Course at Sand Hollow Resort in Hurricane, Utah. In the 8-kilometer race, Todd placed first out of 69 runners with a time of 23:40.5 to help the Aggies capture the team title with 31 points – five better than No. 16 Southern Utah.

Utah State returns to action when the Aggies travel to Tallahassee, Fla., to compete in the Florida State Winter Cross Country Classic at Apalachee Region Park (site of the 2021 NCAA fall cross country championships) on Friday, Feb. 5.
