LOGAN, Utah – Utah State men's cross country jumped eight spots in the latest NCAA DI Cross Country National Coaches' Poll, climbing to No. 21, while the women's cross country team broke into the poll for the first time this season, appearing at No. 28. The Week 5 poll was released Tuesday by the U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA).

The Aggie men garnered 114 points and are one of seven teams from the Mountain Region appearing in the poll, and one of four teams from the Mountain West. The women cracked the poll with 42 points and was one of seven teams from the Mountain Region and one of only three teams from the Mountain West among the top 30.

In the latest Mountain Region rankings, which were released Monday by the USTFCCCA, the Aggie men and women were both in the top-10 as each side was ranked No. 6.

The Aggies are coming off an appearance at the Wisconsin-hosted Nuttycombe Invitational, where the men finished 11th out of 32 teams with 322 points, placing ahead of six teams ranked higher than them in last week's national poll.
