LOGAN, Utah – Utah State sophomore women's tennis player Carolina Millan has been named the Mountain West Women's Tennis Player of the Week. It was announced by the league Thursday.

Millan (Pachuca, Hidalgo, Mexico) led Utah State to a 2-0 record last week with a 5-2 home win against Weber State and a 6-1 road win at Idaho State. Against the Wildcats, she paired with junior Annaliese County to post a 6-3 win at the third doubles position. Millan then clinched the match with a straight-set win at No. 1 singles (6-0, 7-6 (7-5)). Against the Bengals, Millan and County paired up to record a 6-2 win at the third doubles position, while Millan notched a three-set victory at No. 1 singles (6-0, 4-6, 7-5).
