ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. – Utah State women's tennis (5-7, 0-2 MW) wrapped up its first weekend of conference play Sunday, falling to Air Force, 4-2, in Albuquerque, N.M.

Air Force took the early lead, winning the doubles point with victories at Nos. 1 and 2. Utah State junior Annaliese County and sophomore Carolina Millan held a 4-3 lead in their match at No. 3, but it was left unfinished.

The Falcons extended their lead, winning the first two singles matches in the No. 4 and No. 6 spots. Millan then put the Aggies on the board, as she posted a straight-set win (7-6 (7-4), 6-0) over Meredith Jones at the No. 1 position. Sophomore Renata Lombera then added a win at the No. 3 spot, defeating Alex Kuo (6-2, 7-6 (7-5)). County and sophomore Zara Ryan each pushed their matches to three sets, but the Falcons clinched the win as County fell at No. 5. Ryan's match was left unfinished, while she was ahead in her third set.

Utah State heads to Boise, Idaho next weekend for a pair of neutral-site conference matches. The Aggies play San Diego State on Friday, April 2, at 10 a.m., then UNLV on Saturday, April 3, at 2 p.m.
